There are no entry criteria. All of our examinations are open entry. However, we do define the level of the examination and the standard of competence we would expect a candidate to have before sitting the examination.

5. Can I register for an examination online?

This is not possible at present. To register you need to submit your signed copy of the Examination Entry Card.

7. Why is the closing date for registration so long before the actual examination?

Registration closing dates have been carefully calculated to allow sufficient time for the examination material and the examiners to be fully prepared.

8. Do you accept late entries?

9. Why are the examinations held only once a year?

The examination cycle actually takes fifteen months which has to be compressed into a twelve-month period.

Inserting additional examination sessions into that cycle would add considerably to the examination costs which would then have to be passed on to the candidates in the form of increased examination fees.

10. When does the 5 year limit for completion of a qualification start?

The 5 year limit starts from when a candidate first passes a part or parts of an examination.
