1. Interpreting in the Police Environment

This course will give interpreters the opportunity to develop and apply the terminology, values and skills required of interpreters working in a police environment.

4. Met Test Preparation Course: Note-Taking & Simultaneous Interpreting

This course will give interpreters the opportunity to develop the necessary practical skills required for note-taking. It also provides practical recommendations on self practice and developing symbols. It also explores methodology of implementing effective simultaneous interpreting in the legal environment as well as giving the interpreter practical guidelines on self practice.

5. Met Test Preparation Course: Statement Taking, Sight Translation & Technical Translation

This course will give interpreters the opportunity to understand and develop the skills required for Statement Taking, Sight Translation and Technical Translation. During the afternoon of this course delegates will be required to practice their technical translation skills. Dictionaries are a must for this course.

6. Interpreting in Courts

This course is relevant to court interpreters working in the court systems of England and Wales. Interpreters will gain an insight into the courts' remits, the role of the interpreter and practical guidelines.
