Bilingual Assessors needed for Cardiff University PSI courses

We are looking for DPSI qualified interpreters to help us to prepare and assess the bilingual tests that form part of the PSI courses for Law and Health currently running at the Cardiff University Centre for Lifelong Learning. These tests are scheduled to take place in May.

We need DPSI qualified interpreters to undertake one or more of the following tasks:
1. Translate one Health PSI text of approximately 300 words and send us an audio recording of a reading of the translation. The fee will be £25 for the translation and recording (see required languages below).

2. Translate one English Law PSI text of approximately 300 words and send us an audio recording of a reading of the translation. The fee will be £25 for the translation and recording (see required languages below)

3. Listen to an audio recorded simultaneous interpretation (of a recording in English of a text of approximately 150 words) and send us a written back translation. The fee will be £25 per student / recording.

We need assessors for the following languages:
Health
:
Arabic, Farsi, French, Hungarian, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Slovak, Somali
Law:
Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, French, Japanese, Polish, Romanian, Somali, Swahili, Turkish.

DPSI Tutors Required

DPSI Preparatory Course – English Law Option

Raenaf Language Services require Language tutors to join us on a freelance basis.

We are looking for experienced interpreters and translators specialising in Law, particularly those who passed the DPSI examination themselves in the following languages: Chinese (Mandarin), Punjabi, Arabic, Portuguese (Brazilian) and Slovak.

You will be required to practice language skills with students, mark written translations from and into English, provide feedback to students and the course leader and prepare materials in the other language for language sessions.

IoL Educational Trust

The IoL Educational Trust is the only independent examination awarding organisation in the UK specialising in language examinations. We offer a range of vocational public examinations from ‘A’ level equivalent to postgraduate level in over 50 different languages. We are currently seeking to expand our national database of native-speakers to act as Oral Assessors in the following languages and locations:

Requirements:
·        Native speaker of the language(s) applied for
·        National Insurance Number or Tax Reference Number
·        To have signed the IoLET Code of Conduct
·        Provision of two (2) professional referees
